So I've finally decided that the world of barbeque is my next endeavor. Ever since I was a kid, I would watch my dad grill but was never included in grilling process. Grilling is no longer just a "guy thing" because I am going to be the next grill master of Cohort 1 at CSUSM.
So far I have gathered these two books to start my research into what dishes I want to cook, what meats I want to learn more about, and what kinds of rubs and sauces I want to try. I have a gas grill so I have decided to cook a different kind of meat every week on my grill with a capstone meal of smoking a brisket with a friend's smoker. I will document my progress by taking photos of my meals and the steps I take to prepare them. I may even bring in samples to class for review from my classmates.
I am excited to try some new recipes so wish me luck!
